Sympsons Theatre Invitation

On Saturday 16th April SYMPSONS ( Sheffield Youth Mentoring and Personal Support Scheme ) is hosting a theatre production on independent living performed by ‘In the Boat’ theatre company. In the Boat is an integrated company of 15 adults with learning disabilities and 4 artists. The performance begins at 1pm at the Community Hall at Centre in the Park ( Norfolk Park ).

Revolutionising Service User and Carer Involvement

Help explore how patient opinion is providing everyone with a chance to share their experience of local health services at this event at The Quadrant, Parkway Avenue, Sheffield on Tuesday 16th March from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm.

Swamp Circus Event

Special Needs Inclusion Playcare Service is offering disability circus skills sessions for disabled children and young people , aged 8-18 to try out. Please see a flier attached with further details. Venues have been confirmed for the session on Saturday 20th March at Shirecliffe Community Centre and on Saturday 27th March at the Double Six Youth Club in Woodseats. Staff will be available on the day to help young people participate , however parents and carers are required to stay.

Sheffield Carers Strategy Consultation Event

Sheffield City Council has organised this event on Tuesday 30th March from 10 – 12 at the Town Hall, on a drop-in basis, as part of their consultation to raise awareness about Carers and the draft Sheffield Carers Strategy and seek people’s views and feedback. There will be also be some general information and advice on support and services available, including disability and older peoples services and equipment/adaptations plus fire prevention and affordable warmth. The Red Cross is offering hand and shoulder massages.
